Privacy policy
In effect from 1 August 2026
NinetyStats runs on as little personal data as possible. We do not sell it, we do not advertise, and we do not track you around the internet. This page explains exactly what we hold, why we hold it, and how to make us delete it.
Who is responsible for your data
NinetyStats operates this website and the NinetyStats Discord application, and is the data controller for the personal data described here. We trade as a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Our postal address is available on request by email. You can reach us at support@ninetystats.com.
What we collect and why
Everything below is collected because the service cannot work without it. There is no marketing profile, no data broker, and no advertising network.
- Discord user ID
- Identifies you to the bot so your watchlist, reminder settings and weekly match-view count belong to you. It is a number, not your name or email.
- Discord server ID and channel settings
- Lets an administrator configure where the hub panel and shared receipts are posted in their server.
- Your watchlist and reminder preference
- So we can show the clubs you follow and send the kick-off reminders you asked for.
- Match-view count
- Enforces the free tier's weekly limit fairly. It is a counter, not a history of which matches you looked at.
- Sign-in session (website)
- If you sign in with Discord, we store a signed cookie containing your Discord ID so the site knows your membership status. We request only the basic 'identify' scope.
- Membership status
- When paid membership opens, we store your membership tier, status and a Stripe customer reference so the bot knows what you have access to.
- Server logs
- Our web server records requests (including IP address and timestamp) for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults.
We never receive or store your card details. If you subscribe, payment is handled entirely by Stripe.
Our legal bases
Under UK GDPR we rely on: contract, to give you the service you signed up for (your watchlist, your membership); legitimate interests, to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix faults; and legal obligation, to keep records of any payments for as long as tax law requires.
Cookies
We use one cookie, and only if you sign in: a signed session cookie that keeps you logged in. It is strictly necessary, so it does not require consent. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add site analytics, they will be cookieless and aggregate.
Who else processes your data
Discord— the platform the bot runs on. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord’s own privacy policy.
Stripe — payment processing when paid membership opens. Stripe is the controller of your payment details.
Hetzner — our hosting provider, whose servers hold the data described above.
Discord and Stripe are based in the United States, so some data is transferred outside the UK. Those transfers rely on the safeguards their respective agreements provide, including the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep things
Watchlists, settings and view counts are kept while you use the service and deleted when you ask us to, or within 12 months of your last interaction with the bot. Sign-in sessions expire automatically. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. Records relating to payments are kept for six years, because UK tax law requires it.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email support@ninetystats.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
NinetyStats has completed the ICO’s registration self-assessment. We will register and pay the data protection fee when the service begins trading, and will note our registration number here at that point.
Age
NinetyStats is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the service, email us and we will delete the data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in our Discord community before they take effect.
